Stallholders and Produce

We have regular stallholders who have been coming to the market since it started and others who have joined us more recently after hearing about the success of the market. Most months, the stalls will include: Penhayes Dexter beef, lamb from local farmer Harvey John, bread from local artisan baker Da Bara, locally reared free range eggs from Cracking Eggs, quails' eggs by Anita, vegetables by Rachael, Preserves from Maid in the Kitchen, Ellie's cakes, locally grown plants, gluten-free products from Tasty Pastry, Cornish fudge, Phoenix greeting cards, fine art portraiture by Tamsin Dearing, pyrography by Trevor Hawkins.

How to Find Us

The local produce market is based in Grampound Community Hall, Fore Street, Grampound TR2 4SB. It is immediately behind the village school. There is a large car park for stallholders and visitors.

The market opens to customers from 10 a.m. unitl 1 p.m., although most of the business is done by about 12.30 p.m. so do not leave it too late to drop in and see us.

Information for stallholders

We are always interested in hearing from local food suppliers who might be interested in joining the market. However, we do have a policy of not duplicating stalls selling similar produce, in order not to dilute sales for all stallholders.

As from July 2017, the running of the market is being taken over by Grampound Carnival Committee. If you would like to talk to them about having a stall, please call or email the chair of the committee, Charlotte Obie - see contacts

The charge for a standard trestle table (which we supply) is £5 payable on the day. Doors of the hall open from 9 a.m. to allow setting up.

Refreshments at the Produce Market

Refreshments are served at the market by a group of volunteers serving real coffee, tea, cakes, savouries etc. Proceeds from the sale of the refreshments are generally donated to Grampound with Creed Carnival Committee. Once a year, we usually donate proceeds to the Macmillan Cancer Coffee Morning appeal, and we have also raised money for the Phillipines hurricane appeal. In 8 years, we have raised over £10,000 for the carnival committee.
